Kimmel’s back in prime time

Jimmy Kimmel Live: The Los Angeles Lakers are hanging on in the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics, meaning that there’s a Game 6 tonight — and another prime-time special by Kimmel, ABC’s late-night host, preceding it. 7 p.m., WFAA/Channel 8

AFI’s 10 Top 10: The American Film Institute’s love of lists has come down to this: lists within lists. This special counts down the 10 films in 10 genres: animation, fantasy, gangster, science-fiction, westerns, sports, mystery, romantic comedy, courtroom drama and "epic." So if there’s a three-hour animated sci-fi gangster fantasy western mystery with a sports theme, a trial scene and some funny romantic stuff out there, it’s got it made, right? 7 p.m., KTVT/Channel 11

America’s Got Talent: Usually, I find the audition episodes for this series, which begins its third season tonight, even more condescending and painful than the American Idol audition episodes. But it was during an audition episode last year that Arlington-based singer Cas Haley first caught my ear, and he went on to be runner-up to Mesquite ventriloquist Terry Fator. Can North Texas do it again? If you want to jump in from the beginning, now’s the time. 8 p.m., KXAS/Channel 5

Flipping Out: Obsessive-compulsive house-flipper Jeff Lewis is back for a second season of tirades, although he’s seeing a therapist this time around, so maybe there will be fewer tirades. Then again, what fun would that be? 9 p.m., Bravo

Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood: Trading their country inn Chateau La Rue for the home of Chateau Marmont, Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott return to Hollywood with a new baby, a new Tori book, and new Tori issues with her mom, Candy Spelling. And then Dean has to jet off to Canada. 9 p.m., OXY
