Cowboys fans can chill out after all
Air-conditioning system will keep inside at 78 degrees when it’s 100 outside

ARLINGTON — Workers began installing air-conditioning duct work for the Dallas Cowboys stadium last week.
The system will keep the stadium at 78 degrees when it is 100 outside. The equipment can move 1.1 million cubic feet of air per minute, stadium construction manager Jack Hill said.
About two-thirds of the stadium’s 50,000-square-foot limestone base is complete, Hill said. Workers are nearly done with half of the skin of the roof, which consists of white PVC sheets.
Crews also began installing the fourth main truss that frames the opening of the east end. Two other trusses were being installed to hold up the scoreboard that hangs from the center of the roof, Hill said.
